Terms of use

The service

MeshFormat is provided free of charge and as is. It is a static web page that runs conversion code on your own device. There is no account, no subscription and no service level commitment.

Your content

You keep every right in the files you open. Since nothing is uploaded, MeshFormat acquires no licence, no copy and no access to your models. You are responsible for having the right to convert the files you use.

No warranty

Conversion between 3D formats is lossy by nature, and different formats disagree about units, orientation, materials and precision. Output is provided without warranty of accuracy or fitness for any purpose. Always verify converted geometry before manufacturing, machining or printing from it.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MeshFormat is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the site or of files produced with it, including scrapped parts, failed prints or lost work. Keep your original files.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to process material you have no right to, and do not attempt to disrupt its availability for others. Since processing happens locally, ordinary heavy use is not a problem.

Third party components

The site bundles open source libraries, each under its own licence, including Open CASCADE, Assimp, three.js and glTF Transform. Their licence texts ship alongside the WebAssembly builds.
